I sent them an email asking if we could move in a week early instead of like a month, and this is what they said:

Thank you for letting us know of your interest in moving in early; I have made a note of your request. We actually did not have enough students sign up for the July 17 early move-in date, and are not offering that option. Instead, we are waiting for approval (from our home office) for an early move in date in August. As soon as we hear from our home office confirming an early move in option in August, we will contact all of our residents who have made requests similar to yours. Please stand by, as we will be calling you later this week to discuss early move in dates, pricing and address any other questions you may have. We feel very confident we will be able to offer some form of early move-in for August, and look forward to having some residents join us a bit early!
In your email you also mentioned that you are paying for the month of August. I just wanted to explain in greater detail the way our pricing works, so that no misunderstandings exist. Because our Lease is only 11 1/2 months, we adjusted the total price of the Lease to reflect this Lease term. The Lease cost for 11 1/2 months at UV (for you since you signed in Jan.) is $5856. To offer flexible payment plan options, we came up with three payment plans to pay off this total amount. Option C can be very confusing since it breaks the $5856 into 12 equal payments. Please know, these are not monthly payments, but equal installments that add up to the total cost of living here for 11 1/2 months. We divided the 11 1/2 month Lease cost into 12 payments because it ends up running congruent with a calendar and makes it easy to remember to make payments the first of every month. Had we divided the Lease into 10 payments or 14 payments, it would have been too inconsistent for everyone to remember! Does this make sense?
I apologize that this was not explained to you sooner, but hope that my explanation clears up any confusion about the Lease payments. The first page of the Lease might make more sense than reading my email. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Yeah, so it's a really long email, but I'm so excited that we may get to move in a week early instead. It's funny that they didnt have enough interest, I figured not that many people would want to move in an entire month early. Yay! Sucks that we will have to pay more to move in early though, ugh.

I worked today from 10-6. It really wasn't bad. My manager wasn't there, only the assistant manager and I really like her and its always better when the manager isnt there. Because she takes things way too seriously. And thinks Benetton is the best thing ever. And it really isnt.
Anyway. So a little before midnight I go through my bathroom and into the little vanity area, about to go through the door to my room. And then I see this really big, NASTY looking bug in the doorway. I was kind of rushing so it basically scared the SHIT out of me. Like, I was like FUCK and my heart was racing. It's just a bug, I know, but still. It looked like a mix of a silver fish and a scorpion. I really hate silver fish, but they don't scare me. Scorpions however I'm really afraid of. So I just kind of stand there thinking "shit..my dads asleep and I have to find something to kill this bug with". So i back into the bathroom and go out the door, just to look and see that theres another one of these bugs on the door from the bathroom to the other vanity area. And they're like an inch long,. they're not small. So I go downstairs to try to find something to kill them with and we dont have anything. No fly swatters or anything, and you know sure as hell im not gonna squish something with a napkin.
So I finally decide to vacuum the bugs up, because I do that with spiders all the time. It's just easy. So I drag the vacuum cleaner upstairs, and I can't see either of the bugs from the doorway. So I was soo scared just to go in the bathroom that I started crying. And it's really hot in this house, especially upstairs. So i was like really hot and crying. I finally get up enough strength to kill the bugs so I turn on the vacuum cleaner, but it doesnt turn on. But the lights go out. I blew a fucking fuse. BAsically I went into my parents room like bawling and my dad flipped the breaker and went back to bed, still leaving me to kill the bugs. So I was still crying and stuff. I finally suck them bitches up. And then not only am I scared of bugs, but of the vacuum cleaner. WE have a bagless, so those things could just be crawling around in it finding ways to get out. And it's really weird thats theres two of the exact same bug in the bathroom. bugs don't travel in pairs
So by this point I was really really hot and tired and had a headache from crying. I just needed to take a damn shower and go to bed, My hair was drenched in sweat. So I layed in bed for like ten minutes and finally calmed down, and went to get in the shower and saw another one of those damned bugs on the inside of my shower curtain.
Basically it was just awful and to people who arent scared of bugs this is probably ridiculous but I'm really afraid of them and so it was bad. Basically I spent an hour crying and stuff and now I'm still scared to go back in my room and stff. I'm def not drying my hair tonight, thats for sure. Cause that would require me to be in the bathroom. Um, no.
